White on white wedding card tutorial

Okay, this is a little project I did the other day for a wedding. Nothing time consuming, just a fun suggestion if you are into card making and like the white on white style. So there it is:

Step one obviously is to have your card base ready. In my case it is 15cm x 21 cm, and then cut a smaller card stock piece 14cm x 20 cm which we are actually going to be working with.

The third piece of card stock for the middle part of my card is 7cm x 13 cm, and after I cut it, I had its corners rounded and embossed it with one of my favorite patterns like so:

Okay, so the first thing to do is to die cut my main motive on the top and the bottom part of the 14x20 cm card stock. (And I did use some wax paper to help me with this annoying process.)

When done with this, cut a bit smaller piece of rice paper to fit at the back of your die cut motives and use some glue to attach it. ( Be careful where you put the glue since the rice paper is see thru.)

Ready to die cut some embellishments. I chose this plane flowers, along with the leaf-like die :) and of course the word "congratulations"cause we are talking about a wedding :) The flowers I cut second time from rice paper just to make them look more delicate.

Assemble the flowers and add a white pearl in the center of each.

Okay, let's put it all together! Start by gluing the middle embossed piece on top of the card, and then glue everything to the base. I used tacky glue, but if you prefer something more dimensional - try it out.

In the middle I did use some double face to make my main motive stand out like so:

Then glued the "congratulations"die cut on top of it, and added the leafs and the flowers:

The only thing that's left to finish this card is to add randomly some white pearls in the center of the flowers at the top and the bottom of my card.

And... we are done! :) Hope you like it as much as I do :)
And thanks for checking out this tutorial :)
