Flowers and stitches

Today's card is a bit different than my card style, cause as you may see it's extremely 3D-ish :), but I should admit it was quite nice to try something new for a change.

So there it is - my normal card base size - 10 x 7 inches, then another card stock piece like 1 cm smaller than the base and a third - pink pattern paper - again 1 cm smaller.

Then I cut a piece of doily paper to match my card size and glue it to the center and middle papers.

Next thing to do was to make my holes around the edges and just sew it all together with a back stitch like so:

Some writings with texture paste at the background:

And of course white lace - just to make everything look even more shabby, vintage and girly :) Then glued everything on the card base:

Die cut a honey comb pattern from craft foam and glued it to my card. And then - the fun part adding all the flowers, leaves roses and pearls I could fit on the card :)

The only thing left to finish the card was a sentiment. So I had one stamped and die cut.

And that's all to it. Project - finished.
Turned out to be pretty I admit, but still can't decide if all the sewing was worth it :)
